Tenderness, Chapter EightBy the time the evening had ended, Shuichi felt like he was soaring into the sky while he felt exhausted at the same time.  The dinner with his parents had gone over exceptionally well, his mother swooning over the gifts he and Maiko had chosen to give them.  The Shindou matriarch had even been more pleased with the present Eiri had bestowed upon her (Shuichi had called the novelist while on a lunch break from shopping, and had invited both Eiri and Hiro to the dinner).  Conversation throughout the meal managed to remain civil, jovial even, in Shuichi's mind, especially in light of Tohma's and Sakano's presences. Fit to be TiedHe was nervous. If there was any emotion in the world Tohma hated more than anything it was feeling nervous. Having the feeling invade his senses meant he was not in control. Tohma hated not being in control. Lack of control over a situation not only made him nervous but left him feeling inadequate. He hated to think he could not control everything and everyone. The thought also exhilarated him like nothing else could.

The older man blinked at the calmness radiating from the youth sitting across from him.  Bright eyes gazed fiercely at him, their intensity never wavering.  Such intensity from the younger man was nothing new, and it loathed the old man to admit he admired the young man's energy and passion for life.  There was something different in those eyes, though, something he couldn't quite place.  It was as if a major change had taken place.  The intensity in those eyes was something he'd always come to expect, but the words and the calm behaviour behind them threw A Much Needed Conversation

He would dream of a better life, one where he didn't have to worry about food or seeking shelter at night . . . he was back in heaven.  Somehow, he had redeemed himself in the eyes of God and he felt safe, secure . . . wanted.   
Mornings were a different story.  Each time, he woke up and he'd realize that he'd been dreaming, a tree root boring into his back.

I tried to update my account but dA keeps trying to tell me my fanfic is fanart, which it's not.

The fanfiction.net houses just about every fandom I'm dabbling in, from Gravitation and FAKE to Speed Racer and Transformers. That's the best site to go to right now.

I also have a fanfiction journal at livejournal.com, under the name of dreaming-vision. Eventually, I will have all of my fanfiction under that ID.

I won't delete this account because I do have photos I would like eventually upload so people can see.

Sorry about the whole fanfiction thing, guys. That was more my thing than actual art. Thanks for your support, though. I really do appreciate all of your kind words.
